David Love shows softer side tonight at Bier Markt show

Anyone familiar with the career and music of versatile Rock and Pop singer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist David Love knows that he can get a crowd dancing almost singlehandedly with his sizzling riffs and solos.

Whether with Carpet Frogs, the supergroup band he just left after many years, accompanying Randy Bachman in the studio or on tour, as part of the Classic Albums Live troupe that reproduces hit albums by a variety of artists note for note, or as the frontman for his own David Love Band , he delivers dance-floor shaking performances.

But as many other fans also know, he’s also got a softer, albeit still high-energy, side to him as part of the Love & LeBlanc duo that specializes in melodic Pop Rock that mines the rich vein of 60s music to share gems by acts like Simon & Garfunkle and Peter & Gordon. That’s the mode he’ll be in tonight starting at 8:30 when the pair appear at Bier Markt Don Mills, at 7 O’Neill Rd.
