Jaimie Vernon, the iconic owner of Bullseye Canada record distribution company and author of the “Canadian Pop Music Encyclopedia”, writes a weekly guest column as part of the “Don’t Believe A Word I Say” blog authored by fellow legend Bob Segarini. (Both gentlemen are also accomplished Rock musician-performers, btw.)

In this week’s column Jaimie reviews the state of the current record industry and specifically the playlist being offered by Toronto’s Q107 “classic Rock” station and urges the broadcaster to freshen up its roster by including several acts who have been hitherto neglected by the station, including bands like Goddo, MOXY and even The Trews.

Today’s column also includes several interesting embedded videos -one in particular that older listeners will delight in seeing, of The Beatles performing “She Loves You” on the “Ed Sullivan Show” in February 1964; that’ll be 50 years ago next month!
