\ TO WEST \

We told you a year ago about the first anniversary show for the then-bi-weekly Indie Tuesdays showcase at The Piston bar in west TO.

Shortly after hitting that first milestone the event, which features three indie acts in the bar at 937 Bloor St. W. near Ossington, went weekly and it’s been going strong ever since.

Tonight the second anniversary show rolls around and of course one of the three acts will be the band fronted by originating host Steve York, whose Mercy Flight combo usually appears every other week.

They’ll be joined this time by the group Communism and by soulful solo songwriter Lindy Vopnfjörd, whom longtime Moon readers will recall first came to our attention when he appeared regularly at Relish in the early days of its musical offerings five years ago.

Things get underway around 8:30 and admission is pay-what-you-can.
