\ TO CENTRAL \

A venerable bassist who’s probably performed as part of more acts than most people have ever even had gigs, Terry Wilkins tonight celebrates his 70th birthday as part of a 10 p.m. show at Cameron House with The Sinners Choir, one of many acclaimed acts that have benefitted from his talents.

It’s an appropriate group for him to be celebrating with, as not only is it a versatile combo that includes Blues, Country and Roots in its repertoire —all genres in which Wilkins is in demand on either stand-up bass or electric four-string— but it is comprised of him with two fellow noted side men (Adam Warner on drums and guitarist Adam Beer-Colacino) who all get to step out of the shadows and take a more prominent role as part of this trio that features 3-part harmonies as well as superb instrumentation.

There’s no cover for the show in the front room of the old hotel/music emporium at 408 Queen St. a block west of Spadina Avenue.
