COVID panic bound to impact local live music shows | TorontoMoon.ca 200312Th | Shows for Thursday, March 12, 2022

Given the situation with rapidly evolving social panic surrounding the COVID-19 virus, which has today led to the cancellation of the Juno Awards among many other instances of “an abundance of caution,” it seems inevitable that many bar shows won’t be far behind.

I think it’s still quite safe for a healthy person to attend bar shows so long as you employ elementary hygiene practices that anyone should be using all the time anyways.  But of course some bar owners and performers may decide to err on the side of caution.

I’ve listed what is scheduled that I know of as of 14:30 hours but of course the situation could change in a heartbeat –or lack of one if someone famous dies.

Accordingly, I remind all paid up yearly subscribers in good standing that if you want to call ahead to check about a show I am happy to share the latest version of my Ontario Venues Directory (which has over 3,000 rooms listed, including about 200 added in the past two weeks and contains phone number for hundreds of rooms, though not all) with you.  It’s available free upon request as a pdf or Miscrosoft Word file as one of the benefits of your subscription.
