Groovestone’s Tuesday show has gone South —to Johnny’s! | TorontoMoon.ca 180828Tu | Shows for Tuesday, August 28, 2021

\ ETOBICOKE \

Maybe next week we can fill you in with more details in the back story, as our correspondent plans to cover tonight’s debut of fabulous classic & contemporary Rock band Groovestone as they debut a new Tuesday evening series at Southside Johnny’s in Etobicoke.

It’s a first for the club with a reputation for bringing in quality live music Thursdays through Sundays but that has always been “dark” early during the week.

The group had been appearing each Tuesday at nearby Timothy’s Pub but for whatever reason the room has now elected to go with another outfit, The Dedbeats, which interestingly is fronted by former Groovestone member Kevin Reid.

No cover for the new Groovestone Tuesdays at Southside Johnny’s, located at 3653 Lake Shore Blvd. W. a little east of Brown’s Line and it’s an uncharacteristically early start for this room, with the show running 8:30 till 12:30.
