Although officially he celebrated his “sexy-tree” 63rd birthday at a gig in Scarborough on the weekend, you can bet that Monday night Rockpile Monday jam host Al Reilly and his Catalyst band will be in a partying mood tonight, since today is the actual start of the eponymous singer’s next trip around the sun. I’d expect someone will find a cake and there’ll be toasts galore from the usual suspects of talented players spanning various genres who enjoy showcasing on the club’s pro-calibre stage and a dedicated sound man. Things get underway at 7 in the room at 5555 Dundas Street near East Mall.
