More than Raptors win being celebrated at Relish | TorontoMoon.ca 190614Fr | Shows for Friday, June 14, 2021

\ TO EAST \
People all over the GTA are in a celebratory mood tonight after the Raptors’ convincing win in Game 6 of the NBA finals to win an historic first championship in that league.

But at Relish in east TO, patrons, musicians and owner Joanne Clayton will be more excited to mark the 14th anniversary of the opening of the room —and a mere two weeks away from its closing!

But never fear, Relish isn’t going away, it’s just going west a little, relocating from 2152 Danforth Ave. at Cedarvale a block east of Woodbine to a more central location on Danforth near Logan Avenue, where they’ll have more space for the seven-days-a-week live music and a lot more foot traffic to enjoy the talent and scrumptious tapas food.

For tonight, however, the two-part anniversary celebration kicks off at 7 with eclectic band Four One Six and continues from 10 till close with an artist who’s been central to making the room a hip music desination: songwriter and jam emcee David Macmichael, who will do his bi-weekly Friday night appearance with his versatile band The $5 Tall Boys, who may just end up also getting a few special guests up on stage with them for this party.

No cover and there’s bound to be lots of treats floating around the room this evening I’d guess.
