New stars added to lineup for Brent Titcomb ‘HOO’ show at Winterfolk

When someone posed the query on Facebook wondering what were the chances of gaining admission without an advance ticket ($12) to the upcoming Honouring Our Own tribute concert for Brent Titcomb as part of Winterfolk on Sun. Feb. 17, I felt compelled to comment that they’d be taking a big chance, given the star-studded lineup.

In addition to Titcomb himself, his son Liam (a star in his own right), fellow Folk icons David Brandstreet and David Woodhead, as well as festival director Brian Gladstone and Juno winner Tony Quarrington were already booked for the roster. Now three new names have been added to the three-hour show that will be the unofficial finale for this year’s 11th edition of the festival at Delta Chelsea Hotel. Blues tryro Brian Blain, evocative emo-Folk songwriter Bela Ray and perennial TO folk darling Glen Hornblast will also appear on the bill. Advance tix and info at www.songwtown.ca.
