Simcoe Blues & Jazz jam Tuesdays sounds like it’s worth going out of your way for

A subscriber, Mike A., writes to tell us that the Tues. 6:30-11 jam at Simcoe Blues & Jazz in Oshawa (926 Simcoe St. N.), which has been running successfully for two years now, is “a well organized and supportive jam.”

The house band (Frank Zochodne, guitar, vocals; Don Niblett, guitar, vocals; and Noel Conway, drums) along with a host of regulars, perform “a real mixed bag: Blues, Folk, Country, old Rock ‘n’ Roll,” he says.

Mike goes on to enthuse: “Great atmosphere. Musicians always willing to sit in with performers if they require accompaniment. It is an excellent night of entertainment that is appreciated by the audience and musicians alike. “
