Poets and players to help Fort McMurray tonight | TorontoMoon.ca 160531Tu | Shows for Tuesday, May 31, 2022

11 artists will perform

\ TO DOWNTOWN \

Eleven musical and poetry performers will gather tonight as part of the monthly Poetry and Music Salon to help raise funds for victims of the Fort McMurray wild fires.

The 6-8 p.m. event takes place in the theatre room of the Palmerston Library at 560 Palmerston Ave. a bit north of Bloor Street West just west of Bathurst St. in the Annex area.

The roster includes veteran musicians like Kirk Felix, Steve-Paul Simms and Tim Maxwell along with high-profile poets such as event host Brenda Clews and Linda Stitt.

There’s no set cover charge but obviously the whole point of the gathering is to raise some funds for relief efforts (all donations will be given to The Canadian Red Cross).
