With the weekly Hump Night Blues series organized by Dave McManus on hiatus for the summer from its new home at La Rev in the Junction area, the room is sticking with local Blues talent during the break by bringing in Juno-winning songwriter Julian Fauth every Wednesday night.

It’s a good fit in a lot of ways since Fauth has deep roots and a strong following in the area after having done weekly shows for many years at defunct Gate 403 and disintegrating Axis Gallery & Grill until recently.

His shows in the Mexican eatery (which has interestingly tasty food I’m told) at 2848 Dundas St. West (a stone’s throw east of the corner at Keele) begin at 8:30 and there’s no cover.

You can also, of course, find Fauth Tuesdays for a no-cover early show at Sauce in east TO and now also downtown Friday nights at Senator Wine Bar on Victoria Street, where there’s a cover charge but he also has a weekly guest accompanist.
