Wayne Neon with Gordon’s Acoustic Living Room -PROMO

\ TO CENTRAL \

We’ve written before about the monthly eclectic big ensemble gatherings at Free Times Café known as Gordon’s Acoustic Living Room, when the group staged its annual Robbie Burns show there in late January 2017.

As we told you then, the ten-or-more piece group, which consists of a variety of instrumenta, including Wayne Neon on sax and flute, tries out various pre-agreed new songs every session so that the gatherings remain fresh and feeds the development of all the individual members.

When we wrote about them in 2017, the assembly had celebrated their 13th anniversary earlier that month, so now, tonight, two years later, they hit another milestone as they celebrate hitting 15 years and getting ready for “sweet sixteen” starting later this month for the Burns do.

It starts at 8 p.m. in the back room of the club at 320 College Street, between Spadina and Bathurst, and there’s no cover but arrive early if you want to grab a seat in the smallish music lounge.
