Plaza Ratz in 5-piece mode -Gary 17

\ SCARBOROUGH \

After a second hiatus from gigging action over the autumn and winter, it’s good to see classic Rock band Plaza Ratz is in action more regularly since getting back in the groove in March.  The group, as I’ve described previously, puts on a high-energy show that gives new verve to classic faves.

Fronted by singer Kevin Huckell, the band, which last time I saw them had expanded from four to five-pieces, is revved up for a special show they’re doing this afternoon at the The Korner Pub bar in Scarborough, which is doubling as a fundraiser to help people affected by the Fort McMurray area wildfires.

The Facebook event page for the show doesn’t indicate whether other groups are involved or whether it begins earlier than the four-hour show by the Ratz, but for sure it will be happening 3-7 in the room at 3045 Kingston Rd. at McCowan Road in the West Hill area.

The promo also doesn’t indicate what the cover charge might be, but I’d assume it’s probably a donation of whatever you can afford and that there’ll be raffles and other means of raising funds plus a donation from the bar.
