Last-minute Christmas smile-making opportunity tonight

\ TO EAST \

Most of the organizations collecting toys for the children of economically disadvantaged families (and there are legions of them across the GTA) have completed their collection drives and begun wrapping and distribution of the items already.

But if you missed your chance to take part and create a smile on Christmas morning and are wishing you’d been able to do something, don’t despair –there’s one more opportunity to do just that happening this evening. And you can enjoy a great show for no cover to boot!

At Dora Keogh Pub at 141 Danforth Ave., a little east of Broadview, are Mike Tanner and Dora’s brother David (yes, Virginia, there really is a Dora Keogh!) will be collecting unwrapped toys from 6-9 p.m. this evening for distribution tomorrow.

Following the event the regular Monday night open stage with host Julian Taylor takes place starting at 9.  And with 5-piece band Dora’s Explorers doing the feature yet again you can be certain that there’ll be plenty of Yuletide jamming going on and an abundance of Christmas spirit in the air.
