A lot of residents in the West Hill part of Scarborough are grateful to Norm and Karla Peer for transforming a room at 4630 Kingston Rd. that was teetering on the edge of notoriety for a couple of years. Since Karla’s Roadhouse opened in Dec., the vibe has completely changed for the better.

Among the grateful are local live music fans and players, because part of what the couple is doing involves bringing in good bands most Saturdays.  Starting next Friday they’ll also be offering karaoke so tonight its host, experienced and genial Randy Petrie, is doing a special introductory show to demonstrate what he does to the Sat. regulars.  9:30 start.
