\ ETOBICOKE  \

James Alcock -Gary 17

Rock singer James Alcock has been channelling AC/DC in tribute acts for many years now, most notably in the past for Powerage. While the past year or so he’s also been fronting classic Rock band, Rockin’ A Hard Place, (they do deliver a lot of AC/DC too), more recently he’s also joined up with another AC/DC tribute outfit, Hell N Back. Tonight starting at 10 the new group makes its first appearance at Etobicoke’s Southside Johnny’s (3653 Lakeshore Rd. near Brown’s Line), where the crowd is familiar with Alcock and loves their AC/DC. Should be a winning combination. -17

George Pliakes -Gary 17

\ TORONTO DOWNTOWN \

Whether outfitted like Elvis or dressed to the nines in a tux and elegantly coiffed hair George Pliakes is a consummate band leader, guitarist-singer and host. Tonight he may dress snazzy but will be letting out his Blues side as he brings his Guitar G Blues Band to the 10th floor lounge in Harbourfront’s Harbour Club at 778 Harbour St. downtown. Remarkably for such a classy venue, there’s no cover charge for the 8 p.m. show —and there’s free visitor parking! -17
