Sandra Bouza @ Eton House for 1st annual Birdseye Music Festival -GARY 17

\ TO EAST \

One of the acts that was part of Elana Hart’s immensely successful first annual Birdseye Music Festival that took place at Eton House October 21-22 (and raised over $5,000 for the bladder cancer unit at Mount Sinai Hospital) singer-songwriter Sandra Bouza has been in on-and-off career mode the past couple of years, but appears now to be back on the scene to stay.

Harte certainly seems to think so, since she’s booked Bouza as the feature act for tonight’s installment of her now bi-weekly M Factor Indie Showcase series that takes place alternate Wednesdays at Linsmore Tavern, as we told you a few weeks ago when it resumed after a summer hiatus.

Although Bouza had her reassembled Redbrick band backing her for the Eton House show, I’m not sure what the plan is for tonight, whether she’ll have the guys on hand or perform solo with her own six-string, on which she’s also quite capable.  She could also utilize guitarist Lucio Agostino and/or other members of Elana’s backing Stiletto Flats crew that usually performs a set to start things off at 7:30.

Bouza is expected to take to the new raised stage in the room at 1298 Danforth Ave., a few steps from the Greenwood subway, around 8:30.  Following the features an open mic kicks in starting at 10 p.m. and running till about 11:30.  No cover!
