Lovin’ Spoonful’s John Sebastian at Hugh’s Room tonight

John Sebastian

John Sebastian

\TORONTO WEST\

In the mid-1960s, when Beatlemania was at its height, one of the few North American bands to be able to compete with the “Fab Four” in popularity this side of the pond was The Lovin’ Spoonful. After nearly 50 years their songs are still as catchy and relevant as they were in their day. “Summer In The City”, “Do You Believe In Magic”, “Daydream” … the list goes on.

The heart and soul of the group was John Sebastian and he’s still making music today. In fact tonight he appears at Hugh’s Room, 2261 Dundas St. West just south of the Dundas West subway station in west TO. Cover is $65 and a reservation would be strongly recommended in order to ensure you get in.
