First ep off JT’s new double album being released today | TorontoMoon.ca 151023Fr Shows for Fri., Oct. 23, 2015

151023Fr Friday, October 23, 2021\ TO EAST \

Pop Rock, Dance/Funk and Reggae songwriter Julian Taylor (JT to friends and fans) has been receiving a steady stream of accolades over the past few months, but that eruption of respect and appreciation is only likely to increase towards the end of the year as he releases a new double-album in late November.

DESERT-STARI’ve written many times about Taylor’s journey from a young newbie songwriter into a charting Pop Rock star with his band Staggered Crossing, his subsequent redefinition as an indie artist with a vast, versatile range of skills, musical interests and talents, and eventual evolution into a music promoter and enabler and, over the past few years and albums, now blossoming into a masterful, poised composer and performer whom everybody loves and audiences, broadcasters and festivals can’t get enough of.

This evening the dynamo of song shares a glimpse of what to expect as he releases a five-song ep —the first of four planned prior to the release of the Desert Star album— at a gathering in east TO.

The 6-8 event, which features a live performance of the songs by his Julian Taylor Band, takes place in the headquarters of Aporia Records, the company backing the project, at 714 Gerrard St. E. near Degrassi St. east of Broadview Ave.
