It’s a double-MINT fun weekend in north GTA - TorontoMoon.ca 150313Fr Shows

\ BRAMPTON / MARKHAM\

Fans of west-GTA Rock/Pop singer Amanda Rose know that diversity is one of her strengths, and that is expressed in part by having not one but two bands that she can call her own.

There’s the Amanda Rose Band, which often features guitarists such as Josh Gordon or Dave Girdlestone, and also another outfit that’s getting more and more gigs of late: MINT, also anchored these days by guitarist Anthony Cee.

Between the two groups Amanda is starting to get a lot of work of late. Recently she headlined at the Maple Leaf Tavern in Etobicoke, the Crown Bar in Richmond Hill and did a duo show with Cee at Flowertown Pub in Brampton. And that’s not to mention her many appearances at jams in Etobicoke, Mississauga and Oakville –which is always a highlight of the night for fellow performers and audiences/

This weekend it is, as Amanda put it: “a double MINT weekend —I’ve been dying to use that!”

Those who want to double their pleasure will need wheels, because one show is in Brampton tonight and the other in Markham tomorrow night.

The group is “back at the Shang” as the promo puts it, tonight, performing at Shangri-La pub at 305 Charolais Blvd. in Brampton starting at 9:30

Tomorrow they swing east but stay above the 407 as Amanda is back at Duchess of Markham, 53 Main St. in Markham, by popular demand —she did a show there just two weeks ago with her other group and the crowd really enjoys her high-energy sizzle on stage.

No cover for either show and one of the great things about going north of the 407 is there’s lots of free parking.
